Who DISKO is for. And who it isn’t.

DISKO is a media asset manager for people who shoot and cut video, and it runs on your own machine. It earns its place when footage outgrows your memory. If yours hasn’t, we’d rather say so than sell you something.

Who it isn’t for

When something else is the better pick.

We’d rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong tool. If one of these is you, DISKO probably isn’t, at least not yet.

Your folders still work

If you can find any shot in under a minute by folder and file name, you don’t need a media asset manager yet. Come back when the “to sort” folder wins.

You cut in Final Cut Pro or Avid

DISKO hands its timelines, bins and selects to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

You shoot only stills

DISKO is built for video first and keeps your photos beside your clips. If you only shoot photos, a photo catalog like Lightroom is built for that.

You need a finished Windows release, or an Intel Mac

DISKO runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later). The Windows version is a beta.

Weighing it against something specific? See DISKO next to Finder, Premiere Pro, Frame.io, iconik and ShareBrowser. Or read the long version on our blog: Do you need a media asset manager?

Seven days free, no card. Point DISKO at a folder tonight and see what it finds by morning. Nothing uploads unless you send it.
