Made for creators

You shot it. You remember it. Now find it.

Every trip leaves a drive full of clips named GX010006.MP4. DISKO watches them and writes down what happens, transcribes every word you said to camera, and finds your co-host in every shot, so last year’s b-roll is one search away instead of an afternoon of scrubbing.

Real searches

Real searches in our own trip footage.

From a 2020 coastal trip we shot on electric skateboards: 737 clips from mirrorless cameras, action cams, a drone and a 360 camera. Each search lands on the clip shown.

A rider in a helmet stepping onto an electric skateboard on a beach boardwalk.
Search: electric skateboards on a boardwalk

Gearing up on a beach boardwalk before a ride, out of 737 clips from the trip.

A lone figure on a coastal path looking out at the ocean at sunset.
Search: someone watching the ocean at sunset

One person on a coastal path at golden hour, found from what happens in the shot, not a tag.

Search: everything with my co-host

Name your co-host once and DISKO finds them in every clip: 57 from this trip, and more from shoots five years later.

The workflow

From the dump to the upload.

01

Dump everything

Cameras, drones, phones and 360 cameras. Offloads are checksum-verified, and an Insta360 clip comes in as one clip, not three files.

02

It logs while you sleep

Every clip described moment by moment, every word you said transcribed in more than 50 languages, every face found. On your machine, no GPU rental.

03

Find the b-roll

Type what happened: “sunset over the pier”, “ordering coffee”. Play every match in a row, then send the reel to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve as a stringout.

04

Leave out the rest

Put a dash in front of what you don’t want: beach -drone, or -person:Sam to leave someone out.

05

Captions and places

Export SRT captions for every clip. Drone and action-cam clips land on a map from the GPS inside the file, searchable by town or country, even offline.

Straight talk

The questions people ask first.

Will it slow down my editing computer?

It does the heavy lifting in the background and takes on less at once on machines with 16 GB of memory or less. One Pause button stops tagging, descriptions, faces and transcription while you edit.

Does it work with GoPro, DJI and Insta360 footage?

Yes. DISKO reads the GPS that DJI and GoPro keep inside the file, and an Insta360 clip comes in as one clip, described from its own preview.

Is it a subscription?

No. DISKO Desktop is $99 once, with a free 7-day trial and no card. DISKO Cloud is optional.

Part of DISKO

Find last year’s b-roll tonight.

Point DISKO at your trip folders before bed. In the morning, type what you remember and the shot comes up. Nothing uploads unless you send it.
